In 1977 I was driving to work and this came on the radio, it was dark and 6.30 am in the morning in winter, but I pulled over and sat and listened for a few minutes...I thought who is this? I soon found out and I have listened to Joan for years now.

I first heard this driving to work in 1977 at 6 am in the morning, I was just in awe and became a huge fan.

the best section of the song. love it. her vouice sounds particularly gorgeous at that point.

Beautiful song, and I think she is trying to work out whether the person she is with is a friend or a potential lover. It seems that at the moment, it is just a friend, but if he were to try a little more, it could all change. And by the end, I think it might be progressing that way.

This is a song I grew up with! A song that touched my soul as a teenager. It speaks to me still of self love
