Pretty apparent about what it's about. The feeling of being let go, but not being able to let go. Unfortunately I know exactly how that feels right now.
This song means one thing: Ouch! Self-explanatory, really. Everyone's been there, but some mean more than others.
I first thought it was about a loved one dying or abandoning them. I still think it is, but I also wondered if it was a song about God and loss of faith in him/her/it.
The song is about being so difficult to believe that a person is actually going to allow something so special to die...to just walk away when s/he knows how the other preson makes him/her feel and that they would have so much fun together....and allow it to die all because of fear of failure. Amazing. Just amazing. There really are no supermen left in this world...just a society of quitters.
