Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
perhaps it's the passing of time... all of the people you meet... people churning in and out of grocery stores, malls, endless cycle of cash run through registers, so meaningless and futile on a universal scale. People getting married ("meeting in the aisle") without really knowing one another?
Just sounds like stepping back from everything familiar and futile and seeing it all pass... gaping at how some people just march by one another, or never look at anything critically at all...
I could be reading to much into it, of course, but it's always better to give them the benefit of the doubt. The music and title give room for these concepts to arise...
It's trippy as hell: what do you all think it means? We've got the title to go and a bunch of "oh shit trippy" to go on; it shouldn't be much of a problem. What do we meet in what aisle?

I love this song

This seems to be the kind of music you'd hear while wandering around a deparment store.
if i heard this in a department store i would run
Could the title be a rumination on the video for Fake Plastic Trees? It would definitely fit.
What a dreamy song...

PS. If this was the kind of music I heard in department stores, I wouldn't think they're the dens of evil.

I used to listen to it again and again...
