Noah's Ark Lyrics

Thank you god for this fine day
Bless all the children of the world
And thank you for the plants
And the animals
Bring me sweet dreams tonight
And help me be good tomorrow

Noah's ark came to my house one day
With all his animals
And he took me away

i don't see this song as sarcastic at all. the way the melody flows is so joyous and happy and just...uplifting. i don't think this song is an endorsement of christianity in any way, despite it's subject matter.

it's just about hope and beauty. that's all i hear in this song. the beauty of the world around, the comfort in sweet dreams. it's the best song.

I have to agree with Gurtjun...I'm not one for religion, but this song is extremely uplifting. Maybe the tone provides for a sense of hope?

it's self explanitory. and if you don't know the bible, there was a huge flood and noah took 1 pair of every animal on an ark to keep from drowning.

something like that.

I don't know guys, I think this song is just as sarcastic as "Armageddon". It's touching in the naivety of a child's prayer but the child, captivated by the cuteness of the story and her faith forgets that God did not care to save any kids but Noah's.

It seems to me that it's about this child, who prays without knowing what she's really praying about, and then she's swept away like the rest of the animals (Christians) on Noah's Ark. (Christianity) Perhaps touching on the notion that god will only save the ones who pray, the good Christians. (Noah's Animals)

Wow, I didn't even think of that .. That would make sense as well.
