Tekno Love Song Lyrics
I fell in love with a bad, bad man
Ever since I met him I been sad, sad, sad
June faded into blooms of September's moon waned and grooved
Your perfume haunted me long after I saw the swing of heaven's gate open in toward me
Luxurious in your arms, your smile is the cool sun in the dark
Misery rejoices when you're near and fever
No sign of sickness keeps me burnin' down in my heart
Winter melts, she shys away quite like the silence a dying star makes
I'm a jail bird to your music, a criminal in your prayers
I watch you in your sleep even when you're not there
^I fell in love with a bad bad man
Ever since I met him I've been sad sad sad
I'm a jail bird to your music
I'm a criminal in your prayer
I watch you in your sleep even when you're not there
Rainbows wept colour all over the streets
When you went away maybe one day we'll meet
Lipstick I'd wear for one million years
Just to stop your eyes from falling them tears
I fell in love with a bad bad man
Ever since I met him I've been sad sad sad
I'm a jail bird to your music
I'm a criminal in your prayers
I watch you in your sleep even when you're not there
Rainbows wept colour all over the streets
When you went away maybe one day we'll meet
One day we'll meet
One day we'll meet
One day we'll meet
One day
We'll meet^
Picture this: your lips on my lips
The mirror has to do for now 'cause you vanished like a cloud
Rainbows wept colour all over the streets
When you went away maybe one day we'll meet
"Oh woman," you're callin' me
I haven't slept a wink since 1916
I wasn't born then but sure feels time's been tickin'
Shadows parade outside my door
I wish we were dancin' across this old floor
Car horns honkin' down that dirty street
I wish you were yellin' tellin' to wash my feet
Lipstick I'd wear for one million years
Just to stop tears from your eyes, fallin'
Ever since I met him I been sad, sad, sad
June faded into blooms of September's moon waned and grooved
Your perfume haunted me long after I saw the swing of heaven's gate open in toward me

i wish they had the whole poem written up someplace 'cause i likes it more than the song---so i'll try deciphering.

Was that the whole poem?
Was that the whole poem?
its not the lyrics but the tune i think. because this song sounds so much like a lullabye. and she may feel like a criminal for having a baby with the guy and keeping the baby, she sees him in his sleep (through the baby) even though he's not there.
she may want to keep the lipstick on to keep the child from crying because when children are small they cry for anything but the depressed single mother may feel its because the father has left which makes her sadness even more profound.
rainbows wept color all over the streets. it may be because even though the child brings happyness to her world, it has caused her man to leave them.
when he went away maybe one day well meet. probably describes the raw emotion and hurt she felt when he went away. maybe one day they will meet because of the child together.
When I read the lyrics I thought of falling unhealthily in a superficial sense of love with a near-stranger only t crush yourself in the process. Maybe I am crazy.
Are you kidding? I think this is the best cocorosie song.. This song is just really really fits with the lyrics. It's unbeliavable how they get up with so simple instrument playings, and somehow just make them so cute and exposed.. They also have great voices and they are so meaning it.. .. They just.. Are the best..
this is probably the most beautiful song i've ever heard. (even though i had no idea what she was saying toward the end.) what poem is backwashmyhair referring to?
This isn't my favorite song by them, but I adore these lyrics: Rainbows wept colour all over the streets When you went away maybe one day we'll meet
I see it as just as a guy left her, but I doubt it's that simple.
what poem are you talking about? was this a poem they adapted as a song?
so beautiful! that poem just makes my heart shiver. i wish i knew who wrote it!
"just to stop the tears your eyes would grow, falling..." i think it goes
i think it's "june faded into blooms, september's moon waned and grew"
