Let me play
I've been dying to let you win
It's all I wanna be
So won't you take if from me
I wonder
But the less I get the more I give
It's all I wanna be
So won't you take if from me

I want your eyes
I want your eyes on me
I want your eyes
I want your eyes on me
I want your eyes
I want your eyes to see
I want someone to notice me

I wanna be the only victim
I wanna be the only victim

No regrets, even if it's all I get
It's all I wanna be
So won't you take it from me
It still hurts
It's never easy to forget
Do I wanna be
What you never asked me

I want your eyes
I want your eyes on me
I want your eyes
I want your eyes on me
I want your eyes
I want your eyes to see
I want you to notice me

I wanna be the only victim
I wanna be the only victim

I'm right here
I'm right here

I'm right here [Repeat: x7]

So come and get me!

So come and get me!

I wanna be the only victim [Repeat: x4]

I don't think this is about a bene-friend situation. I think it is more-so someone who wants to be more than friends with someone. The second verse I believe speaks to that a lot:

"No regrets... even if it's all I get"

    • I believe this line is referring to exposing ones feelings towards another person. "No regrets, even if this person turns me down" essentially

"It still hurts It's never easy to forget Do I wanna be Well you never asked me"

    • I think this portion of the second verse is addressing the feelings after rejection, but the sought after party doesn't abandon the friendship. "It still hurts. It's never easy to forget," is what it's like trying to forget ones feelings after being told there is no chance. The next half of the verse I believe is saying "I don't want to be just friends."

My interpretation of the songs meaning could be pretty biased. I have a friend who I seem to be infatuated with. I wanted to be with her so I started offering to help her with some things and did stuff without being asked. It seemed like "the less I got the more I gave." I was trying to get her to "notice" me how I noticed her. After a while I told her of my feelings, "no regrets". She turned me down saying she didn't want to ruin our friendship, that she didn't have time, etc. I tried to bury the feelings, but as the song says, "it's never easy to forget." "Do I wanna be?" No, I don't want to be just friends.

I still offer to do nice things and help her out when I can, get her food when she is hungry, essentially saying "I'm right here." It turned out that it wasn't the friendship or the time or anything else that made her say no. She is in the same dilemma I'm in, but it's dealing with another person. That being said, in my endless quest to get her to notice me and that I'm doing all I can for her... I'm helping her reel in the guy she wants. Why? That's a good fucking question.

It is a song about someone who is never noticed and it seems that everyone is a victim of attention and that's all he wants in his life.

I'm not trying to be picky just thought I'd post the correct lyrics. These are the lyrics out of the CD liner:

Let me play I've been dying to let you in It's all I want to be So wont you take it from me I wonder why the less I get the more I give It's all I want to be So wont you take it from me

I want your eyes I want your eyes on me I want your eyes I want your eyes on me I want your eyes I want your eyes to see I want someone to notice me

I want to be your new victim I want to be your new victim

No regrets... even if it's all I get It's all I want to be So wont you take it from me It still hurts It's never easy to forget Do I want to be, well you never asked me

I want your eyes I want your eyes on me I want your eyes I want your eyes on me I want your eyes I want your eyes to see I want you to notice me

I want to be your new victim I want to be your new victim

I'm right here I'm right here

I'm right here I'm right here I'm right here I'm right here I'm right here I'm right here I'm right here

    So come and get me!

    So come and get me!

I want to be your new victim I want to be your new victim I want to be your new victim
I want to be your new victim

I'm not really sure what this song means, other than what the words say.

haha this song has great personal meaning with me.. see it all started with the new trapt cd in the cd player. and a backseat =] and fogged up windows... and now this song is my ringer for this certain someone ;o) haha

to me, this song is about wanting someone and willing to do anything to get it.. willing to be just a friend with benefits even if that's all its gonna be, even though the person prays that more is to come...

"No regrets... even if it's all I get "

I agree with exsandh0es, for me this song is about a friend with benefits, the guy wants a real relationship but the girl is just using him. Anyway, it's fine by him, he agrees because that's all he can get from her.

    The lyrics are wrong. It's:
Let me play I've been dying to let you IN. and: I DON'T wanna be your new victim. (He slurs the words a little but if you listen carefully you can hear the "don't")

The meaning to the song is pretty much that he wants to be noticed and is willing to do anything to get attention, althought he wishes he didn't have to (hence the "I Don't wanna be your new victim") but he will anyway.

and h0es... I'm sure we all really care why you like the song...

    My Interpretation

The song is about feeling under appreciated and wanting companionship even if it means being taken advantage of or being the "victim". My favorite line is "what do I wanna be? Well you never asked me". Makes me think of parents who ignore their kids or people you're in a relationship with who are just using you and don't give a shit about you.

Btw the lyrics are: "I wanna be your new victim" not what it says here

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
