It's quite clear it's about someone who looks for "love" strictly by physical characteristics. If someone isn't good-looking then they go, turn over another page. With my short experience with rock writing, I bet that the object of the song is a girl one of them knew and wanted to go out with but she always turned them down because they weren't hunks.

I think the song is about, quite obviously as others have said, someone who only looks for love based on looks.

Learn the difference between "you're" and "your", it's annoying to find lyrics with such mistakes.
It's "exception" not "acception".
It's "only scratching the surface", not "always" in the chorus.
I probably sound picky and harsh here, but I don't intend to be.
Either way, this song is brilliant, along with the majority of Trapt's stuff.
personally i think it could also pertain to society or hollywood and fame... like looks are all that matters...
i mean most people who have eating disorders thinking they NEED to b skinny or LOOK a certain way to get by... like to find/keep a guy or to get their dream guy.
I'm not sure what this song means. From my undersatnding, it is about someone trying to find their religon, but I could be worng. Good song.
