Perfect Day Lyrics

The rain has moved on
And left a new day
Nothing seems to move everything is still
It’s just a perfect day

The shadows and light
That move with the wind
Hidden violets grow splashed with summer spray
Just another perfect day

On the wild and misty hillside
Fear is nature’s warning
Hunger here is never far away

And all of this world
Is for children who play
Days that never end always should remain
Another perfect day

the song is kinda of ironic, the way it is sung, it sounds of kinda mournful, yet the idea of perfect day, makes it happy. Does anyone remember that peter rabbit cartoon show by beatrix potter, this was the theme song. I love it though it makes me cry inside.

Anyone interseted, Listen to Scarborough Fair - celtic woman, there are some similarities between the songs. It also makes me sad, but its such a beautiful song.

It's about appreciating the present because 'hunger here is never far away'. A perfect day is more beautiful because of the rain. This is why the tune sounds so melancholy in contrast with the lyrics. I like this one. It's famous for being the theme song in the opening credits in 'Peter Rabbit'.
