Immortal Lyrics
Strange signs, crooked signals
Strike down the last aerials
Heaven's bending
Below the world begins
to break
Life's ending
The time has come to escape
Down the chambers
Drink this blood and
we'll become
immortal, baby this love
is breaking
The one last bond
We chose the silence
Hatred, cruel violence
We should be ashamed
We had a chance that
we ignored
And now it's too late
The end is knocking on
the door
Ready to claim us
Surrender to my love
Sacrifice your soul
Your picture in the frame
Is fading like a ghost
Never say goodbye
Never be alone
Never say good night
Never say die
Strike down the last aerials
Heaven's bending
Below the world begins
to break
Life's ending
The time has come to escape
Down the chambers
we'll become
immortal, baby this love
is breaking
The one last bond
Hatred, cruel violence
We should be ashamed
We had a chance that
we ignored
And now it's too late
The end is knocking on
the door
Ready to claim us
Sacrifice your soul
Your picture in the frame
Is fading like a ghost
Never say goodbye
Never be alone
Never say good night
Never say die

It think it talks about love crossing all boundaries. The first part doesn't come to me as clearly, but the rest of the song does. If she drinks the blood, which means, if she loves him, they will become immortal. They won't have to care about anything anymore, as long as they have each other. The love is breaking the one last bond. That's death. Love is stronger than death.
That is the one last chance for her to give him her love, cuz if she doesn't, the end will come. Maybe the end in the first part of the song. Her picture in the frame is fading like a ghost. She's farther and farther away and he's forgetting all about her, that is, he will, if she doesn't love him, if she doesn't drink the blood.
i dunno, all this talk about vampires, i'd say that siriuslove is much closer, and that all the references to vampires are metaphorical of the love that the subjects of the song are feeling, and the reference to 'drink this blood' meaning accept this love, possibly she is unsure if she should love him, has he done something that he now regrets, or is he just different to most people? either way i'd say she feels that other people, maybe friends or parents, would disapprove, and he's trying to tell her that their love can conquer any doubts others have, 'this one last bond'. just ideas here, but maybe move away from the vampires theme
anyway, it's a great song, one of the best i've hard, and i can't believe so few people have commented
[oops, didn't mean to press that :P fail] ... this song also kind of reminds me of how me an my gf got together, except the other way round, with her persuading me to give it a go and see how it turned out. quite a fw of my friends told me i was being an ass for 'leading her on' and 'giving her false hopes', but we're still together, and it turns out that it was one of the best things that's ever happened to me. [sorry for the sop story, but it does link in]
so anyway, i think the song might have a deeper meaning, just telling us to ignore the doubters and just go for it, even if people look down on you for it, because if you end up happy, that's all that matters, and if it doesn't, at least you gave it a chance, and you haven't lost anything. this moral can be applied to all aspects of life, not just to love, which is the subject of the song.
i think that's right, opinions?
love you Pippa xxxxx <3
I think it's about the way humanity is nowadays.. The way our "advanced" (maybe technologically but not otherwise) civilisation is acting, concentrating on materialism and not caring about people, about love, about bonds.
"Drink this blood and we'll become immortal, baby this love is breaking the one last bond,"
"We chose the silence Hatred, cruel violence We should be ashamed We had a chance that we ignored Now its too late End is knocking on the door Ready to frame us,"
"Surrender to my love And sacrifice your soul Your picture in the frame Is fading like a ghost Never say goodbye Never be alone Never say goodnight Never say die,"
And that's about it :3 The Rasmus' songs have hellofalot meanings, but I don't like when fangirls (mostly) think it's all about love.. No, they sing about everything there is, about life.. :3
I swear, when I first heard this song, and about most of the other songs on their new cd, I immediately thought of vampires. I know, I'm crazy, right? well, I just bought their cd and was listening to it when I was reading this book that so happened to have vampires in it... and honestly, it just relates too well to be coincidence. Anyways, it's an amazing cd... they're so dark and like evil but god, I love it. Okay, well, not totally evil. But dark enough.
Definite Vampire vibe.. Very pretty song, love singing along to it.
I can't believe only 2 people have commented on this song... Wow... I LOVE this song, it's probably the best, most addicting song EVER!!!!!! This song got me addicted to vampires...
Anyways, best song ever, and I've gotten 6 people to fall in love with it... My mom (of all people), the dj who played it for me on my birthday, my best friend, a random dude on the bus, and 2 other friends of mine... haha...
I think this song is just about them (whoever wrote the song, and obviously a girl/friend/sister... maybe even a boy... XD) wanting to turn into vampires at the apocalypse (Heaven's bending/Below the world begins/to break/Life's ending) or something? I dunno, does it even have a meaningful story, or lead-on behind it? Weird, anyways, great song, and yeah, more people should comment!!! XP
I agree with you guys this song might be about vampires
yup about vampires last four lines sums it up.
i think it's vampires too, i was pretty terrified when i first heard it! it's a bit disturbing but i love it all the same. i think it's apocalyptic too, though, and maybe becoming a vampire is the only way too survive some vast cataclysm?
