Hope You're Happy Lyrics
I can speak about the pain you know
What you say you didn't see
I can show you all my scars you know
The ones I keep inside of me
Would that make it easier
Or would it be the same
Sorry that I could not be
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
I can tell about the times you know
When I wished to leave this world
I can read to you the letters I wrote
All the words you say you've never heard
Sorry that I could not be
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
Sorry that I could not be
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
Sorry that I could not be
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
What you say you didn't see
I can show you all my scars you know
The ones I keep inside of me
Or would it be the same
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
When I wished to leave this world
I can read to you the letters I wrote
All the words you say you've never heard
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy
As perfect as you wanted me
Just wondering what's going on in your mind
I sure hope you're fine
I hope your conscience is clear
Hope you're happy

I adore this song, to me it's pretty much what i would like to say to my birth father, who left before i was born, and caused a lot of pain. kinda like i'd like to tell him that eah he left, and i feel it was my fault, and i dont hold any grudges, i just hope his conscience is clear as she sings.
'I can tell about the times you know When I wished to leave this world I can read to you the letters I wrote All the words you say you've never heard'
the amount of times, i have been so low thinking how much he must have hated me, and how i must have messed up my mums life too, that i have thought it might just be easier not to be around.
to me this song isnt about a relationship thats gone wrong, but telling someone that even thought they left, things are okay
This is a fantastic song. It reminds me of a failed relationship, but it could also apply to other unfortunate situations similar to that of ShadowKitten's.
When I listen to this song I get reminded of the anger and frustration that comes with being hurt. You want so bad for the person that has hurt you to acknowledge what they may have done; the unintentional damages that eat at you and the guilty party seems without concern. You eventually blame yourself and later reconcile and move on, but you still long for answers and a few simple words to bring closure.
