Save Me Lyrics

I got a candle
And I've got a spoon
I live in a hallway with no doors
And no rooms

Under a windowsill
They all were found
A touch of concrete within the doorway
Without a sound

Someone save me if you will
And take away all these pills
And please just save me if you can
From the blasphemy in my wasteland

How did I get here
And what went wrong
Couldn't handle forgiveness
Now I'm far beyond gone

I can hardly remember
The look of my own eyes
How can I love this a life so dishonest
It made me compromise

Someone save me if you will
And take away all these pills
And please just save me if you can
From the blasphemy in my wasteland

Jump in the water
Jump in with me
Jump on the alter
Lay down with me

The hardest question to answer
Is why

Why

Someone save me if you will
And take away all these pills
And please just save me if you can
From the blasphemy in my wasteland

Someone save me
Someone save me
Somebody save me
Somebody save me
Please don't erase me

I took a friend to the 3 doors down concert and Shinedown and alterbridge(new phoenix from the ashes of creed) and I was really blown away by both all of the performances. This song was awesome, and he said at the concert that it wasn't just about drugs, but needing to be saved in general. That when he wrote it, he was out a point in his life where he felt like he was helpless... Awesome song live.

I think this line: I live in a hallway with no doors And no rooms is alot less metaphorical then your speculating... I think the guy lives in an alley.

This is definently a song about drugs. "I got a candle and I got a spoon." He's talking about heroine! It's all about the way drugs trap you and how it often seems there is no escape

I really can't waite for the new album! These guys are awesome.

As for the song, I heard an interview with them on Sirius radio, and it is not exclusively about drugs, more so needing to be saved.

This song is great but what do the beginning lyrics mean? To me it doesnt make any sense at all but hey it rhymes.

heroine addicts use a flame and a spoon to heat up their shit. a hallway with no doors and no rooms is a seringe. i'm not sure about the windowseall part. i used the window seal to sit all my shit on when i was getting it all ready because it had good light and a good flat spot to put my stuff....and if you o.d. then thats where you would be found?? not sure about that.... but a touch of concrete within the doorway without a sound is heroin(cause its hard and grey like concrete) and the doorway is...

poolshark, I think you are right on on it I am the same way, but could also be talking bout oxy cas he talks bout pills, when I couldn't get black tar I would shoot oxy I crushed on windowseal so I could see if anyone was coming and they couldn't see me, I am a recovering addict as well, but I can't see any other meaning to this song.

And under a window sill They all were found........ someone found his hiding spot for his drugs....he would hide them under a window sill

its a real good song ,sounds great. YES!! it is obv about drug addiction and the kind of wasted life people spend due to it and how it eventually leads to the ultimate downfall .....

its a pretty easy song to comprehend , nothing great or deep , quite stupid actually . But the song sounds really nice .
