i do love this song, i dont know about the meaning!
I think this links in with 'Hey Scenesters',and shows the cribs dislike for the sterotypical 'Hipster'. I disagree with the person who said The cribs are hipsters,as i beleive they are one of the most genuine and original indie acts out there.

this is my favourite cribs I love it!, reminds me a bit of at the drive in, dont know if anyone else see's that resemblance, its mostly the chorus.
Slight discrepancy: it's really "The mirror kisser ways of the hipster type", not "kissing".
Ahh, The Cribs are amazing live, and so they do this (and their other songs) AMAZINGLY.
Anyway! This song reminds me of the trend whores on myspace taking pics of themselves kissing mirrors. It could be describing vain people, too, since it's kissing your own reflection--loving yourself.

they are good live.. i saw them open for death cab/franz ferdinand. i didn't know who they were, but i recognized martell from that commercial... they are awesome.
i think this song is about those greesy girls that go to my school.. the ones that make love to the mirror, take pictures, and put them on their myspace..
they also tend to pose in their underwear.
the song is about hipsters. and he is talking to a hipster and telling them that they cant act like they are better than him. because stereotypically hipsters are like that, they act like they are better than "normal" people and are savvy in the arts and fashion.
and in the end he isnt as weak or insignificant as the hipster thought,
