Before we could run we were dancing
Life is short but not a day is lost
The world goes round and round
And we go on and on
Berlin to Buenos Aires
Sydney to L.A.
Rio to Abidjan
Stockholm to Athena
Dublin to Guatemala
London to Brasilia
Madrid to Philadelphia
Detroit to Warszawa
Moscow to Mexico
Oslo to New Delhi
Helsinki to New Orleans
Vienna to Ankara
Roma to Lisboa
On earth, we're all...
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand
Dancing with a hidden tribe
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand
Melbourne to Budapest
Prague to Jaipur
Shanghai to Montreal
Vancouver to Singapore
Sofia to Johannesburg
Hong Kong to St. Petersburg
On earth, we're all...
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand
Dancing with a hidden tribe
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand
Dancing with a hidden tribe
Learning to move and fly
Touching the sky with our hands
Longing to love to understand

Being a sociology major, I have a somewhat biased opinion about this song, but here it goes. The intro to the song is basically setting the scene of everyone being on the same planet, together. He then goes through and lists all these different country's and cities, further showing how we've divided ourselves. The chorus then comes in and the message I'm taking from it is that no matter how much we divide ourselves - continents to countries to states or provinces to cities - no one focuses on the fact that no matter how different we may consider ourselves we are all in this world together, and that's at least something everyone has in common. The hidden tribe I think is referring to culture. Prehistoric tribes were obvious in their appearance. However today, most societies look relatively the same, yet cultures vary but are invisible to the naked eye. They are our hidden tribes. The rest of the chorus is saying that no matter how different our cultures may be, the way in which we go about integrating ourselves and our goals within those cultures is the same. We all long to love and to understand the world around us. I also thing the title, given some of their religious undertones in previous songs, is referencing Matthew 6:10. Perhaps he's saying that no matter how different we may consider ourselves, our fates will all be the same some day.

This song obviously has to do with global unity. Unless I'm missing some hidden meaning in the chorus or something.

I think it's about the earth evolving and what the guy said above, Earth Unity.

Dancing with a hidden tribe = Dancing with the heathen tribe

No, it's "hidden tribe". It just sounds like Vorph says "heathen" because of his accent (I know because I own the album and the lyrics are printed in the liner notes).
By the way, if you look up each of the cities mentioned in this song and remember where they are, you'll ace your next geography exam :)

If you're on last year of elementary school outside US you need no map to know where those cities are... O_o
