Guys really need to know that doing simple things can attract the ladies. Just simply putting yourself out into the world where everyone can see you is an easy way to attract some pretty ladies, you don't have to risk your health doing something you might regret like jumping off a bridge. I think Chris added that lyric just to add an interesting point in the album version.
