Falling Through Your Clothes Lyrics
Pinwheel spark, break loose and roll
Where you stop, nobody knows
Just a thought, but goddamn
It's been carved into a point, understand
Turned into
Saying that you want me
Saying that you want me
Know
When you're falling through your clothes
Run, run, run
Deep breath and jump
Roll with your vertigo stomp
Now you're clear but gone down
You've been cleared of every charge
Understand
You've been turned into
Saying that you want me
Saying that you want me
When you're falling through your clothes
Where you stop, nobody knows
Just a thought, but goddamn
It's been carved into a point, understand
Saying that you want me
Saying that you want me
Know
When you're falling through your clothes
Deep breath and jump
Roll with your vertigo stomp
Now you're clear but gone down
You've been cleared of every charge
Understand
Saying that you want me
Saying that you want me
When you're falling through your clothes

it seems like the chorus could either be referring to an anorexic (so thin that nothing that they own fits) or possibly to someone who sleeps around (they only feel like themselves when they're taking their clothes off). The rest is up for grabs.
The chorus is wrong. The line "Someone that you only" should be "Saying that you want me".
doesn't sound like it to me...

yeah---------it makes a lot more sense as "someone that you only know when you're falling through your clothes" not to mention that it sounds way more like it.

i think this song might be about someone who is mindlessly going through life. Some who is constantly making mistakes and hurting people around them. hey they might be a prostitute, hence the "you're falling through your clothes"!
I think this song is about someone whose had a hard life, or has done bad things. This song is saying to "break loose and roll." They used the idea of the wheel of a toy breaking off the stick as a way to just get away. As for the clothes, I think that getting rid of her clothes or "falling through" them could just mean to start new, or get rid of the memories with those clothes.
I agree with Penguinculus...the line is definitely
turned into someone that you only someone that you only know when you're falling through your clothes
I take this to mean that the person is looking for fulfillment or self-esteem by having sex with a lot of different people. They only "know" their self as somebody who sleeps around...it's become their identity. Kind of powerful but sad too.
you mean you disagree with them... they are the one who suggested the way it is now

Yes I meant disagree...the way it's written now makes no sense?????

I think the problem is that there are two vocal tracks on that line. I'm hearing two things:

I feel that this song is about how the life events, good or bad, shapes who we are. In a way that only each person know intimately who really are. Who really have become until the present time. "Fall through the clothes" may symbolize leave behind a the outer layer, pass to other level, turn a different person in the essence. The repetition of the chorus whit a sound that seems to make rounds, give the impression that this process in life is cyclic, until it ends.
