The first time I heard this song I was in a car at night time, so the atmosphere was perfect for this song. Thus it struck a chord with me- the song is beautiful and melancholy, and the lyrics are morbid but also have a pure quality about them. I think it's about losing someone and not being able to let go, although this is pretty self explanatory. I just wanted to comment on how much I love this song. It means so much more though because the lover can't come to terms with the fact his loved one is gone, and is in serious denial. It is so beautiful because he is so naive- believes that she's not really gone and if he digs her up he can have her forever; if he can just make her eat or clean her, then it's as if she never left. It's so sad it makes me want to cry.

Not so horrible. It's about undying devotion I think. He's dying in his dead lovers grave so he can be with her.
This song is so beautiful, yet so morbid. The music takes it to a more beautiful part, and you get swept up in the music before listening to the lyrics. It is definitely about undying love and devotion. Brilliant.

i think he's just saying who-oh-oh or something like that- i dont think hes saying real words, just ad-libbing. hope that helped always 4eva now
