It sounds like it's about someone with chronic depression who has finally decided they will end their life.

it makes me think someone who is depressed finally said "why am i depressed?" and just started to seek help..

I think its about looking for salvation...in death maybe?

"life has been left behind me, i will not cower away" so maybe hes talking about moving away from life into somthing else...

i think its not wanting to be an addict anymore..tierd of being depressed without it ..tierd of doing it everyday tierd of having to hide it from people...

SALVATION! this song is my fav song by this wonderful band. each time i hear it, it makes me think how my "best friends" want me to break up with my girlfriend.

I think they are trying to say they were depressed and then on the night of salvation they will not back down from being saved.

This has to be about someone who is simply tired of life, so they decide to end it. The night of " salvation "

i think that the narrator isnt exactly depressed constantly, but mabey just went thru something traumatic such as a break up or something and doesnt want to live with the memories.

also the word "salvation" in the background after the lead singer screams it makes the song have kind of a surreal atmosphere and its fuckin SICK.
