I honestly cant believe that anyone has ever commented on this song. This is an amazing song. Makes me think of my best friend. I could see myself saying the same thing to him in the same situation.
A guy finds out he may have cancer and he goes to the doctor to get it checked out. He's worried about his wife and son. He asks his best friend to look out for his wife and son if he should die from the cancer. It could be anything but mainly its about asking his best friend to watch out for his wife and son if something should happen to him. He's scared for himself but more so he's afraid for his wife and son. Its a truly selfish song...take care of them if I should go away. I hope i'm here for them but if I have to go watch over them for me. He's more worried about them than himself.
This song reminds me of my daddy and his friend my uncle Craig...my dad was deployed to Boznia and didn't know if he would be coming back in a casket or not...I was only a baby at the time but my mom told me that my dad told my uncle Craig that "if something should happen" watch over Jeanne and Elizabeth for me... makes me cry every time and even worse if I watch the video...needless to say when he was over there he came about 3 inches from stepping on a landmine...
