Personally, I think this song is about a girl. A relationship where a girl has hurt a guy, and doesn't want to be with him anymore but he still wants to be with her, and loves her alot. Without her, his heart isn't alive..
I feel exactly the same as that right now because my girlfriend broke up with me only a few days ago. It really hurts, this song makes me cry everytime I hear it now..
I first thought this was about a girl, because of the whole idea of a sonf and sim sure everyones had the same feeling as is betrayed the whole song "nausesous preparing for the worst". but then he says "all i wanted was a friend and all ive got is no one" so maybe it was about a girl, but he needed a friend to be there for him,and he has know one. Everyones been there.
I have heard the meaning of this song right from Steve. Its actually a song about a parent. In this case it was Jarrod's mother. Its kind of like the song 11 months. Good thing is everything worked out and everyone is ok
in my opinion this is the best song on the new album.
This song was originally written by Billy Corgan.. Corgan handed the song off to Taproot (He co-wrote two other songs on BSR, "Violent Seas", and "Promise"). Apparently the original was performed by Corgan a few times live, and there's an mp3 of it you can d/l on either an SP or Taproot forum.. Corgan's version is a bit different melodicaly and lyrically, but there's many similarities as well. This is the best song on BSR, and Violent Seas isn't far behind.. Taproot needs to continue this collaboration w/ Corgan imo.
Unbelievably this is one of my favourite songs ever. Taproot are the most understated band of all time, this album especially.
Its not unbelivable at all MrKASADY. This song is easily in my top 5 favourite songs of all time. I just never get sick of it!
