April Suits Lyrics

Ohh!
- Ohh!
Ohh!
- Ohh!
Ohh-ohh!

How could you abandon me?
I thought you'd always be
There for me, standing tall
One and one for all

My support modelling
Rolling as a team
But instead on our own
Enemies of old

Seasons change, the falling rain
Will wash the pain away
Making amends to help understand
How to live to today

Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh-Fuck!

It's not your fault, I understand
Now I'm more a man
You needed space to find yourself
And I'm in the same place now

Living dreams dreaming new
Springing forward to
Choose a life to get me by
Not a life that passes by

Seasons change, the falling rain
Will wash the pain away
Making amends to help understand
How to live to today

On we
March in our April suits
On, We
March in our April boots
On we fucking!
March in our April suits
March in our April boots

Seasons change, the falling rain
Will wash the pain away
Making amends to help understand
How to live to today

Seasons change, the falling rain
Will wash the pain away
Making amends to help understand
How to live to today

Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh!

Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh!
Ohh!

Ohh!
Ohh!

Seems like at the beginning of the song he'd been dumped by a girl and was all angry and frustrated about it, but as time went by he started to realize that the bitch was just needing to grow as a person, and he accepts that now. Or something.

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to me like this song is about the guys in the band, wanting to stick together through the whole growing fame thing, but also needing to focus on their own lives & growing as people outside of the band. This song seems to be a resolution of old conflicts between the members. (EVERY song can't be about a back-stabbing bitch, LOL)

to me... yes, this is about a breakup. What makes it interesting is that midway through, rather than continuing to complain about it, he realizes what happened. Its like time passed and now he gets why she needed space. He was finally able to put himself in her position.

ok... maybe his best friend stole his g/f and that really hurt him but now he's over it and he's 'more a man' cuz he's not going to sink to paying him back... so his ex-best friend is the "back-stabbing bitch" hehehe... how's that?
