The Golden Eel Lyrics

Sitting alone in the den watching the eel
Help me find my way home watching the eel
Burrows it's head in the sand, daylight has come
There shall be rest in a while, daylight has come

I can not repeal the words of the golden eel

Who can explain all these thoughts racking my mind
An endless barrage of shit racking my mind
The eel offered his help I can't understand
Speaking it's truth from the bank now I can see

I can not repeal the words of the golden eel
I can not repeal the words of the golden eel

I can not repeal the words of the golden eel
I can not reveal the words of the golden eel
[repeat]

"help me find my way home /// i can not reveal the words of the golden eel"... i'm lost in a trip and golden secrets are revealed to me.... basically this song makes me think of the mysteries revealed in a psychoactive trip and the fact that you can (at least in my case) never bring it back with you...

good call, good call. You always forget your revelations that you find on drugs...

Reminds me a bit of the more psychedelic black sabbath songs.

it is about tripping but i think it is also about a sceene in hamlet Where Hamlet speaks to his ghost father, and he cant tell anyone what he was told at risk of sounding insane. The words the eel cannot reveal maybe a message that his father was poisoned by his uncle, the same uncle who married the queen and hamlet's mother. He was characterized as crazy and unable to make decisions (unable to explain these thoughts in my mind. golden eel=ghost

i know this song is really psychedelic sounding but im 90% sure this song is about masturbation... that's why "i cant repeal" means cant cancel the urge. think about it sitting in the den alone.. it burrows its head in the sand(pants), daylight has come there shall be rest in a while. idk but it sounds more like that than any psychedelic experience ive ever had
