Great song.

Very good song. Sadly underated due to only being on the G-Sides album.

I love this song. Not sure what the lyrics are referring to, but the song as a whole invokes a lot of images in my mind.

Also, this may be obvious, but Noodle is voiced by Miho Hatoshi, a japanese woman. I, however, can't translate. Anyone?

Well Faust sold his soul to the devil but I have no idea what this has to do with the lyrics.

Murdoc's middle name is Faust. he sold his middle name to the devil for his bass "el diablo" G-sides came out in japan to re-intoduce gorillaz during their first tour. Hence the japanese

Yeah he brought in the two japenese sisters to sing it....the translating is brilliant, a perfect contrast....but what is it about?

I think it's about Murdoc to a degree. His middle name is Faust, yes. But you have to remember Murdoc didn't have a very enjoyable childhood.

It could refer to how hard each day would be for him with his father's abuse. When the 'hard day is done, he's finally able to really 'wake up' to what's going on but it's too late to do anything. He needs a day to 'make up' for what he's lost.

That's what always came to my mind, anyway.
