Pray For The Soul Of Betty Is My Sister's Favourite Band In The Whole World And This Is Her Favourite Song Tied With Truck Stop Sally.
I'm not 100% sure but I think this song is about Betty. Con said Betty was a girl at his school that "something happened to". Suicide is what the "something" like is becuase that's a cardinal sin and she would need prayers to help her get out of hell for it. I think whichever band member wrote it either tried to help her or was dealing with guilt over not noticing she needed help before she killed herself.
It's about a girl who has mental problems and wanted to die. She's secretly thinking how the world will be so much better off without her. The guy who's narrating strongly disagrees, really does not want her to go, who may be the only person the girl told her secret(s) to but he does nothing to stop her, because she made him keep her secret and he did not want to lose her trust in him. When she dies, he regrets not doing anything about it, not knowing that her problem was as serious.
