The Spirit Of St. Louis Lyrics
Come all of ye sing Louis, Louis
Come all of ye sing Louis, Louis
And do you know his name was Lindy?
He flew The Spirit Of St. Louis
We'll raise The Spirit Of St. Louis
If all of ye'd sing Louis, Louis
Come-ah all of ye sing
Come all of ye sing
Come all of ye-ah sing Louis, Louis
There's a little trouble in the starboard wing
And a number of Stukas are coming in
Are just coming in
Yeah, Louis, Louis
Hey, Louis, Louis
Hey, Louis, Louis
Yeah, Louis, Louis
Oh Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis
Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis
Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis...
Come all of ye sing Louis, Louis
He flew The Spirit Of St. Louis
If all of ye'd sing Louis, Louis
Come-ah all of ye sing
Come all of ye sing
Come all of ye-ah sing Louis, Louis
And a number of Stukas are coming in
Are just coming in
Hey, Louis, Louis
Hey, Louis, Louis
Yeah, Louis, Louis
Oh Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis
Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis
Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis...

The song is about Charles Lindbergh
Lindy was an incredibly brave american pioneer (although not the first to cross the atlantic, even non stop, Alcock and Brown managed that some ten years previosly, he flew it solo) however his later years were marred by tragedy, and it is little known that he was an isolationist and suspected of being a nazi sympathiser, presumably the root of the line "There's a little trouble in the starboard(right) wing and a number of stukas (German dive bombers) are coming in"
