Fur Soft As Fur Lyrics
Fur soft as fur
Taking the rough with the smooth
I know it hurts
Me more than it ever would you
Fur soft as fur
Fresh strawberries and cream
Sometimes at work
I feel like a machine
Dreams don't always come true
The way you want them to
I said pour this have to do for the time
Fishes and birds
Frozen under the ice
Sometimes it hurts
So much it feels nice
I'm afraid of growing old
And being on my own
So I'm putting on country show now to the wee
I'm afraid of letting go
Of everything I know
So I just sadly float away downstream
Smiling at the leaf
Chewing butterbeans
And wondering what dreams are made of
Fur, fur, fur soft as fur,
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur
Fur, fur, fur soft as fur,
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur
Fur, fur, fur soft as fur,
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur
Taking the rough with the smooth
I know it hurts
Me more than it ever would you
Fresh strawberries and cream
Sometimes at work
I feel like a machine
Dreams don't always come true
The way you want them to
I said pour this have to do for the time
Frozen under the ice
Sometimes it hurts
So much it feels nice
I'm afraid of growing old
And being on my own
So I'm putting on country show now to the wee
Of everything I know
So I just sadly float away downstream
Smiling at the leaf
Chewing butterbeans
And wondering what dreams are made of
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur
Fur, fur, fur soft as fur,
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur
Fur, fur, fur soft as fur,
Fur so soft it hurts
Fur too soft for words
Fur soft as fur

The line isn't "So I'm putting on country show now to the wee", It's
"So I'm putting my country shoulder to the wheel" It's a reference to Allen Ginsberg's poem, "America", which ends with, "America, I'm putting my queer shoulder to the wheel."
Additionally, this song is incredibly sad, but, like nearly all of the BLLT's songs, it's covered up by tamborines and plucky guitar chords.
