i`ve always wanted soso much to know what this song means. i like it though, lots.
Well I think the lyrics are self-explanatory, robotlikestofu. A girl wanted to get away from home for a while and headed to Mexico. They write letters back and forth to keep in touch, and finally she decides to come back home.
Amazing song, even better live, but i agree with the meaning above my post.
I always thought it was about a girl who left home because of her relationship with her father. She still stayed connected, and then came back because she missed them..? “She learns about herself and comes back to make up with her father" - their myspace. Lovely song, by the way.
i agree with machinegunnikki about her relationship with her father. and how it was so bad that her father never really noticed her and didnt really care that she was gone until the day she called home and then he finally realized how much he really missed her this part of the song is what makes me think that ."And she’s callin’ home And her father spoke It’s been such a long time He didn’t realize she was ever alone" but i don't know that is just what i got out of it.
