gun at the parade Lyrics

profitable after its paved
just cover up the blood stains
in the name of great business
you've ruined us

streets cut like knives
sever our history
something we believed in

and you're good decisions arent so good
for everyone, but at least you'll get your pay
and trust us you will pay
i hope they get what they need
because our veins are the ones that are cut
and now they're covered up by their sleeves

place us in our cold caskets
just like you're planting a seed
we will grow and you know revenge keeps
as you sew, so shall you reep
all that profit
you seize the day and salivate
at the thought of it

one way or another this will end
you always found comfort in emptiness

this song is about corporations and the greediness of people. "and you're good decisions arent so good for everyone, but at least you'll get your pay and trust us you will pay" meaning that some people will do anything and make the wrong decisions to make money if it benefits only themselves... etc

i think this song is about how cutthroat the music industry can be. how producers tend to use bands for profit and when the band is no longer making them money they are tossed to the side. its kind of ironic this song being on an album that they got fucked over on by the label on. its like they were writing about the very label that recorded this. these guys are an awesome band and i recommend showing them some serious support http://www.denovali.com/kidcrash/ there you can download albums and donate to the band. they honestly have me at awe for putting their albums up for free with option for donation. they made it so everyone can get the music even those that cant afford it. thats what music is about in the end, not flippin a dollar. these guys are in it for the music and thats something you never see anymore. heres to the kidcrash keeping on keeping on.
