I Have The Moon Lyrics

well, we have walked in ancient times
and we've been burned for many crimes
we have ended many lives
but we never really died
you have the sun, I have the moon

you have to fly around the world all day
to keep the sun upon your face
I'd like to come and comfort you
but I'd be blinded by the blue
you have the sun, I have the moon

you're bound to die under the sun
and I'll be doomed to carry on
you have become like other men
but let me kiss you once again
you have the sun, I have the moon

Another vampire song. The narrator, a vampire, has to live in the realm of the night. His love travels around the world to keep in the sun (or, rather, is awake during the day) and the narrator is doomed to be without her, becuase he can't be in the sun (I'd be blinded by the blue)

Not her, him. ;)

Idk much about vampire lore, but this sounds like somehow their friend reverted to a mortal being? And the narrator is still a vampire, is in love with their old partner in crime and is gonna miss them when they die.

Before I realized the vampire themes I thought this song was about reincarnation, and being with someone who you've met many times through your various reincarnations, always finding each other and being vagabonds together--a sort of soulmate thing
