Crows Bring The Spring Lyrics
End of the Winter
End of the coldness
End of the day
Crows come to this forest
Flies through this woods
Over the dark water
Where ice will die soon
Winter surrenders finally
Spring rises it's wings
Unleash sun's burning flames
Bring warmth with crows
Reveals stones from the snow
You can see the snow
On the mountain tops
And brook's to the sea
Soon sun rises over the hills
[Chorus:]
Endless sky, burning red
Purple clouds touch the top of the mountain
And in the wind, I hear those crows
They will bring the spring
And take the cold away
End of the coldness
End of the day
Crows come to this forest
Flies through this woods
Over the dark water
Where ice will die soon
Winter surrenders finally
Spring rises it's wings
Unleash sun's burning flames
Bring warmth with crows
Reveals stones from the snow
You can see the snow
On the mountain tops
And brook's to the sea
Soon sun rises over the hills
Endless sky, burning red
Purple clouds touch the top of the mountain
And in the wind, I hear those crows
They will bring the spring
And take the cold away

This song is really good.
I just learned in Finnish mythology that birds bring the soul of a person when they are born and also take it away when they die. So, I think this song could be about someones death. The moments before are really dark and cold and the person is suffering. When the crows come and finally take the persons soul away, it's like spring has come and the coldness goes away. I just realized how sad I'm making this song sound.
This song has some of the best imagery I've ever heard.
It's an interresting concept: I've never associated crows with the coming of spring...then again, I've never been to Finland.
The intro to this song made me fall in love with folk music.
