Line of Best Fit Lyrics
These things take my time and energy;
don't stand too close without apologies.
Cut-throat, cut out candid glimpses and
wind me up, I'm ready.
These things take my time and energy;
don't stand too close without apologies.
I remember being inside of something more than you,
but I can't escape this line of best fit.
I can't escape this line of best fit.
don't stand too close without apologies.
Cut-throat, cut out candid glimpses and
wind me up, I'm ready.
don't stand too close without apologies.
I remember being inside of something more than you,
but I can't escape this line of best fit.
I can't escape this line of best fit.

The lyrics on this one are hard to hear. Does anyone know if these are correct? Otherwise, I love this song so much. I love how this album sorta progressed from being very simple and ordinary to being very dischordant and still melodic. It's really rather astounding, and this being the last song is really fitting, because the end to the song is absolutely beautiful, with the way the bass notes just fit along.
ikefox, I believe the correct lyrics are as follows:
These things take my time and energy; don't stand too close without apologies. Cut-throat, cut out candid glimpses and wind me up, I'm ready.
These things take my time and energy; don't stand too close without apologies. I remember being inside of something more than you, but I can't escape this line of best fit. I can't escape this line of best fit.
Listen to the Death Cab recording of it for reference, Gibbard only slightly changes the order of the lyrics in that version, though I definitely prefer this acoustic version.
Thanks, that helped a lot......... I never actually heard the Ceath Cab version until you mentioned it....... I still like the acoustic vs. better too but thanks for the reference.
