Fog Lyrics
These broken arms won't hold you down
These ruptured lungs won't make a sound
These syllables won't bring you back,
Won't stitch the holes, no bones intact
and I can't pretend that you were there
and I can't pretend I held your hand
and I miss your smile
I miss your smile
I need you now
I need you now
and I am not scared of falling down
I am not scared of dark dark clouds
I miss your smile
I miss your smile
I need you now
I need you now
These ruptured lungs won't make a sound
These syllables won't bring you back,
Won't stitch the holes, no bones intact
and I can't pretend I held your hand
and I miss your smile
I miss your smile
I need you now
I need you now
and I am not scared of falling down
I am not scared of dark dark clouds
I miss your smile
I need you now
I need you now

I can'tttttt believe almost nbody commented their songs! this band is awesome and im wondering what does this song means... somebody can help me please?
This song, haha, I'll help you.. It's basically some is dying pretty much and you are close to that person. They are dying and you won't help them, you are kind of standing there helping yourself without helping them. Now that they are gone, you realize you miss them. They are gone, you want them back but you did nothing to help them. That's the vibe I get from this song.
great song
I think it's less that he won't help, and mmore that he can't, or feels he can't. Lines like "These broken arms..." and "These busted lungs..." makes me think that he feel unable to do anything to stop whats coming. If you've seen the video, I think it points to the fact that the song is about his mother. The "I can't pretend..." lines make it seem like he wasn't around when she died, and he feels guilty. I don't think he didn't want to help, I think he couldn't, but still fels guilty.
wintersleep is just... ugh, amazing!
I think this song is about someone who's been beaten at life, and is just looking back at someone who should have been there but wasn't. By the ending, I think its mostly about how he's not afraid of whatever is coming, he just wants that someone to be there again
i think it's a lot like the video, someone's just having a bad day and needs someone to tell them that it's gonna be ok
Somehow, I feel he's talking about the death or separation of a family member, distant but still sweet and memorable.
These two lines "and I can't pretend that you were there and I can't pretend I held your hand" were what gave me this hunch.
