Stop Stop Stop Lyrics
entering through the door
rubies glistening from her navel
shimmering around the floor
going through my head
sweat is falling just like a tear drop
running from her head
swaying to and fro
body moving, bringing back a memory
thoughts of long ago
sweating from my brow
like a snake, her body fascinates me
I can't look away now
give me time to breathe
stop stop stop all the dancing!
or I'll have to leave
luring all in sight
but I know that she cannot see me
hidden by the light
closer, closer she is getting nearer
soon she'll be in reach
as I enter into her spotlight
she stands lost for speech
give me time to breathe
stop stop stop all the dancing!
or I'll have to leave
don't know what to think
and we struggle. knocking over tables
spilling all the drinks
happens every week
heavy hand upon my collar
throws me in the street
give me time to breathe
stop stop stop all the dancing!
or I'll have to leave...
Great little song with a dynamic beat and flowing lyrics, ironicly named 'stop, stop, stop' considering how the band unstoppably charges into a frenzy with each line making the few well placed pauses extra effective.
Fun song about bellydancing.
I think it's a stalker-song cause he's watching her but she can't see him and when she does, there's a struggle and he gets kicked out for it which apparently happens every week the hollies are awesome!
Pretty straightforward song: guy is fascinated by a beautiful belly dancer, gets so overwhelmed that he tries to accost her in the middle of her act, she struggles with him, and the bouncers throw him out. Apparently this happens every week the dancer performs. You'd think they'd post a picture of this guy at the door by now!
Nash had a friend who's exwife was a stripper and he was still much in love with her and somewhat stalked her (she changed clubs 3 X) and Nash (later of Crosby, Stills & Nash) cleaned up the story by her being a belly dancer cos he loved the music of an Indian Belly Dancer act he had seen. Scotty
@scottyboyd Thanks Scotty, the imagery of this song is amazing.
