White Out Lyrics
When I lay me down to sleep
I pray my soul to stay
Clear and away
From the hard hearted part
Into a better place
But I'll wait for you
Until this weight in you
It's a bitter tell
When the place you love and know so well
Does it make you long to slip your skin
And white out the feeling
You are strange
My life it changed from green to red
When from those lips you said
You've got a way and the hardest part
Is finding the strength to stay
But I'll wait for you
Until this weight in you
It's a bitter tell
When the place you love and know so well
Does it make you long to slip your skin
And white out the feeling
You are strange
I pray my soul to stay
Clear and away
From the hard hearted part
Into a better place
Until this weight in you
When the place you love and know so well
Does it make you long to slip your skin
And white out the feeling
You are strange
When from those lips you said
You've got a way and the hardest part
Is finding the strength to stay
Until this weight in you
When the place you love and know so well
Does it make you long to slip your skin
And white out the feeling
You are strange

I can't believe that nobody has commented on this song yet... I really love this song. I love the guitar and the drum beats - they go together really well in this song with his voice. It sounds like he's in love with somebody but it seems like she's pushing him away because there are things that she doesn't like about him by saying "You've got a way" which I take to mean that he does things a certain way that she doesn't like. He feels strange and wants to "white out" that feeling, he wants to "slip his skin" into something that she'll accept. He loves her so much that he says "I'll wait for you" and will put his life on hold "green to red" until she comes back... just my take
