it's pretty sad when dreams are all you have left of something. even sadder still is almost becoming numb to it, since it happens all the time. that's how I feel when I hear this song: a disconnected recollection. he's become almost numb to the fact memories are all he has left.
I guess all you can do when you've been abandoned is become numb, so as to not die from the pain of it.
This song makes my heart hurt, but I just can't stop listening to it.
