Aus schlaflos gelebtem Tagtraum erwacht
So bin ich der Sehnsucht Opfer
Aus kindgelebtem Vertrauen erwacht
So klaffen heute meine Wunden
Das Leben brennt mir von der Seele
Die Sehnsucht erfullt mir tapfer ihre Pflicht
Halt mich - mein Leben - halt mich!
Halt mich - mein Leben - halt mich!
So bin ich der Sehnsucht Opfer
Aus kindgelebtem Vertrauen erwacht
So klaffen heute meine Wunden

Sigh My First Lacrimosa Song ever. I love it!!! Its so beautiful and awesome... ^_^ La amooooo!!!
This is a song of Elodia in my opinion their best album.Lacrimosa describe Elodia as a concept album and a rock opera, divided into three acts. The first act describes a love that is slowly being overwhelmed; the second act describes the act of separation itself, while the third act begins with a requiem, Sanctus, before ending on a note of hope.
In this song the strings and flutes describe a desperate attempt to breathe new life into the past, to regain what has been lost.
I love when, as the song goes on, his voice rises with despair with the realization that there's no one there to hold him. And it ends with him crying 'hold me fast'. Beautiful, beautiful song.
hold me
awaken out of a sleepless lived day-dream that’s what i am, victim of the longing awaken out of a child-lived trust that’s how my wounds are gaping today
the life’s burning from my soul the longing is serving its duty bravely to me
hold me – my life – hold me!
as long as the time is still moving the watch hands are still turning as long as that, i will be spinning my rounds, too but the life’s sweet lust has left me
the life’s burning from my soul the longing is serving its duty bravely to me
hold me – my life – hold me tight !
