London Lady Lyrics

Little lady
With Dingwall's bullshit
Oh you're so stupid
Fetid brainwaves.

Little lady
What really happens?
When you see mirrors
You get the shivers.

Makin' love
To the Mersey tunnel
With a sausage
Have you ever been to Liverpool?

Please don't talk much
It burns my ears
Tonight you talked
For a thousand years.

Plastic's real
When you're real sick!
Tell me what you got
To look so pleased about?

London lady
Why did you lay me?
Your head is crowded
With the names you've hounded.

The lines around your eyes
They show me
You realise the party's over, London lady
Party's over, London lady.

Perhaps a song about how Cornwell regrets having sex with some shallow person (perhaps even plastic surgery).

Actually this is one of JJ's songs.

I though the bridge section was "plastic's true and you're real sick" - "plastic" in the sense of "phony things/people". The London lady is an imagined groupie/stalker/critic, but based in part on Caroline Coon, with whom another Strangler (Hugh, probably) had had a liaison.
