haven't heard such a good song in a long time - so sad and so encouraging at the same time.
I think this song is obviously about being alone and only being left with your past relationship even though your past it, but it may be the only real thing you can hold onto. Though that final line 'I know I want more' can mean that even though all the pain can be hard, it's worth trying to get through that rather than it all disappear and have everything lose it's meaning.
what exactly would this song encourage, depression? regardless, a song about senceless lonelyness can be comforting
