Love's Tragedy Asunder Lyrics
A terminally ill wife asks her husband to kill her. He does but he feels guilty afterwards and takes his own life.
It's written somewhere in that interview : http://metal-rules.com/zine/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=199
This seems to be about Roland of Gilead (Most of the Crimson King Album is about Stephen King's Dark Tower novels) and Susan Delgado, his true love.
I don't think that this songs still refers to the Dark Tower, since there are only four songs on the album with this topic, namely: Crimson King, Terror Train, The Gunslinger and Seize The Day. For example, as far as I remember, Roland never did close Susan's eyes. To me this song is more generally about losing a beloved woman.
i agree with flagg. the only real connection is "oh my dear" which roland says upon hearing the thinny, as it reminded him of susan. otherwise, it's too vague to be about dt, since usually the lyrics reference specific things from the novel.
i dissagree i agree ferrus as this whole album seems to focus on the dark tower series
I hate when people start thinking that the whole album is about DT. Guys, THIS ALBUM IS NOT ABOUT THE DARK TOWER SERIES!
Back to the topic, no more specific guesses? Just a love song?
I agree that the WHOLE album isn't about the Dark Tower but I would have to agree that this song is about his beloved Susan. There is plenty more in the song then just the "oh my dear" in the begining when he asks the blessed one to forgive, him feeling at a lose of faith (Roland went throw all of this when he watched susan die through the wizards glass. )

To me, this song evokes various of Shakespeare's plays.
"She still has sunshine in her weary eyes A bed of roses to testify my love A promise made, now I will make a try There is no power on earth to tear us apart"
This suggests Romeo and Juliet (from Romeo's point of view just before his suicide).
"We live in a dreamworld, it's over now I'll take your hand, our time is sure to come"
A Midsummer Night's Dream?
"Tenfold the cries on crack of doom"
The phrase "crack of doom" was coined in Macbeth.
But I could be wrong; I'm a computer science major, and it's a long time since I studied any of these plays.
The only songs on the album not about Dark Tower are Wicked Witch, Dorian and Beneath These Waves (Immigrant song aswell obviously).
Wrong. How can you say Down Where I Am, Lunar Lament, Spatial Architects, and this song are connected with DT? The only songs that are directly connected with DT are Crimson King, Gunslinger, and Terror Train.
