Not If You Were the Last Dandy on Earth Lyrics
and we like what you say
you got things we should learn
and we like what you're doing
you got speed to burn
and you look so cool
and you look so fine
and you know where we live
come on, drop us a line
yeah, you look so groovy
and the chicks all scream
it's like a 60's movie
you know the one i mean
and you look so cool
and you look so hot
and you look so wasted
and, baby, i know why
take my money
take my time
take my sister
i don't mind
you got things we should learn
and we like what you're doing
you got speed to burn
and you look so cool
and you look so fine
and you know where we live
come on, drop us a line
and the chicks all scream
it's like a 60's movie
you know the one i mean
and you look so cool
and you look so hot
and you look so wasted
and, baby, i know why
take my time
take my sister
i don't mind

i knew the brian jonestown thanks to DIG!the rock'n'roll movie of the year.
bjm are still friends with the dandy's to this day....
I love this song! BJM are a great band. So are the Dandys. I've partied with both bands, and they are both a lot of fun. This song was just a stab at the Dandys. No different than John Lennon and Paul McCartney's musical bickering back in the day.

written as a satirical response to the success of friends the Dandy Warhols. The feud later turned sour, however, as is chronicled in the movie DIG!
molofan, the fued was already sour. their relationship had been going downhill since the release of "dandy warhols come down".
this is quite obviously ripping the piss out of the dandy warhols. i think its quite an accurate piece of satire though.
It was written as a joke by Matt Hollywood.

Brutal.
You have to love how they even parody the Dandys' musical approach with the "Ba ba ba!"s and the "woo-hoo-hoo!"s
