hereos die Lyrics

Maybe you're a tree who's leaves stay. Or maybe you go where the wind blows. All I know is I'm right either way. Every word you spoke was subtle, so I never gave back one rebuttle, because somehow, I knew you meant what you said. It's like I spoke to you. It's like you spoke to me. You know we need eachother. These things we built could last forever. Sometimes We Watch Our Heroes Die, And We Don't Know Why, And We Don't Know Why They Left Us So Young. Sometimes, We Watch Our Mirrors Cry, And We Don't Know Why, And We Don't Know Why They Left Us Undone.
I've learned that I can live without you. I've learned that there are things about you, which I knew, which I chose to hold in. I've seen your eyes when they're glassed over- your charcoaled lungs, malignant fire. Desire keeps us holding on tight. I am now everything good that you did. Im tossing out all of the things you kept hid, like the scars on your knuckles, the way that you chuckled- When The Bottle Made Way For It.
You know? I wish I never heard your lies or memorized your best lines.

The whole part

"We watch our heroes die"

makes me think that he's singing about soldiers, or some sort of person he looked up to dying....

idk.

[i thought most of his songs were about how his girlfriend of 3 years left him -shrugs shoulders-]

I don't think it's about a soldier at all.

I think he's saying that people who are important to us leave us and we don't understand why they left so soon. Such as when someone that is a hero to us dies when we are young kids, and we don't understand.

I think he's relating his girlfriend leaving him to that feeling.

first of all, this song is AMAZING and everyone should listen to it!

I'm pretty sure this song is about watching someone you love with a drug addiction. "Sometimes we watch our heroes die." You watch them kill themselves. I have a friend with drug problems and this song really hits home for me.

"I've learned that there are things about you, which I knew, which I chose to hold in. " He knew she had drug problems but chose to ignore it.

"I've seen your eyes when they're glassed over- your charcoaled lungs, malignant fire." He's seen her high.

"Desire keeps us holding on tight. I am now everything good that you did." However, despite her addictions, he still loves her and wants her, and he's learned from her without having to make her mistakes.

(By the way, my friend has been clean for about two months now, and he really wants to stay that way. I'm so proud of him :] )

One of my best guy friends committed suicide just last week, and it's been really hard for me to deal with. This song makes me think of him and how I feel. "Sometimes we watch our heroes die and we don't know why they left us so young." I have no idea why he killed himself, and I'm still angry at him for it. It's been almost unbearabe for me. "Sometimes we watch our mirrors cry and we don't know why they left us undone."

This song can be translated a lot of different ways, but it's an AMAZING song, no matter how you spin it. :]]
