this song means that when he met her everything was exactly how he wanted. she was perfect for him. But he had gotten to know the hidden side of her. he misses the way she used to be and gets sick of how she is now and thinks of how he loved being with her and he sees how she used to treat him and there's something telling him that there's something wrong. there are times when she acts the way he loved and tries to take advantage of every moment like that. he gets so tired of dealing with the changing back and forth, and he needs her even for what she is.

The song means that the person is believing the person the person the song is talking about is everything to them, and somehow the song lyrics make it seem like the two people in this song do a lot of things together so it makes the "but I love what we're doing here" part stand out a little. But then the person who is saying the other person is making them sick, that person is realizing that the person they are talking about isn't exactly what he thought she was. So in the end he loved being with her, just not her.

I don't know how old all of you are, but haven't any of you ever hated and loved someone at the same time? You get taken advantage of because of how deeply you feel for someone, once they know they have you they can pick you up and drop you whenever its convenient for them.... That is what this song is about. Being so in love with someone that no matter how they treat you and how sick that makes you, you still love all the moments you get. Could even be about an afair. My bet is its about someone who uses people like that though because of the part that says "I can't be the only one" Who knows, only the person who wrote it really knows the meaning........

ok im a girl and this is what im currently going through and what i think the song is about. girl and guy are friends but then they start making out behind everyone elses backs; like friends with benifits. girl doesn't really want this guy, she has wants another guy, and she knows this guy is a player but for some reason she still lets him do stuff. "you make sick" the guy has played other girls before and she knows this and hates that. "but i love what we're doing here" she still likes it when they kiss. i will add more later.

I hate how everyone thinks that a song deals only with a relationship. This song can relate to friendship, as well as any type of relationship for that matter. Lovethissong is correct. Love/Hate relationships (between anyone) are hard. It's almost like how you can be best friends with someone, someone that you know treats you like shit, but you still would kill to be their friend.

See, for me, this song helped me get over my ex. I dunno what the real meaning of the song is, but to me, the way I took it, is exactly how I feel about my ex. The first line is exactly how I felt. It was perfect, it was never ending, and now it's over. I just see it as like...You make me sick for everything you've done to me, but I love you so much that I would come back to you in a heartbeat, and even though you make me sick, I can't be the only one feeling like this.
