Waiting For The Sun Lyrics

I was waiting for the sun
Then I walked on home alone
What I didn't know
Was he was waiting for you to fall

So I never made amends
For the sake of no one else
For the simple reason
That he was waiting for you to fall

It was not lost on me
It was not lost on me
Walkin' on down the road
Looking for a friendly handout
Somethin' might ease my soul

So I kept my spirits high
Entertaining passers-by
Wrapped in my confusion
While he was waiting for you to fall

It was not lost on me
It was not lost on me
Walkin' on down the road
Looking for a friendly handout
Somethin' might ease my soul

It was not lost on me
It was not lost on me
Walkin' on down the road
Walkin' on down the road
Walkin' on down the road
Walkin' on down the road

Tom Petty is such a fucking thief.

@dicklegz Yeah, it's not fair to steal the glory from an under appreciated band like the Jayhawks!

Okay, heres my summary of what this song seems to be about: Your waiting for the best part of life, you decide that it might be best to do things yourself and stay away from relationships. You aren't totally aware of the best ways to interact with people, so you end up not fixing problem with other people. You are not aware enough of other people. At the same time, other people aren't reaching out to you either. Relationship still mean a lot to you, though. You move on in life, relying a lot on other people. You remain optimistic, and start to associate with people more, but you are still a little confused.
