With just one kiss you could change the world,
It might not be much better-- but it certainly couldn't hurt.
When you stomp your feet you aren't hurting me,
But you're always killing something just by living on the Earth...

So who you supposed to listen to when you're looking for something to do?
And all the voices shut you up
-Someone put a brick in your coffee cup.-
When you're trying to decide whether to walk or to ride;
Take the easy way you know that you want to

I saw an educated girl give her hair a twirl
And contemplate the meaning of a man with just one arm.
She's not a genius or a dunce, but it makes no difference;
For at any moment we might find ourselves a charm

But I'm feeling quite confused by the people who refuse
A simple way of life that don't make you the loser.
They say we won't make it far unless drive there in a car,
But we'll be there with time to spare and find our own way home.

You might find the meaning of life in the barrel of a rifle
Whether it's pointed at a bird or if it's pointed at your head.
But me, I'd rather plant a tree that grows up tall for all to see..
Until I need a pencil, then I'll chop it to the ground

At night falling down, will it make a sound?
Should I even wonder what it'd say?
It's so hard to change yourself to tell someone else
That everything is going to be okay..

Oooh

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
