this is one of the loveliest songs i had ever payed attention to. suchprettywords describes this song very well.

oh my goodness, i can't believe that no one else has commented on this song before. i think, out of the couple of say hi to your mom songs that i know, this has the most genius lyrics. the imagery is kind of humorous but i think it conveys a feeling really well - that your world was only so-so before this person came along, but when you did know about them, it just made everything so much more amazing. and because they have this power to make everything wonderful, they also have the power to make it all "stained, awake, and drowned."
of course, you could also compare this to the pro-agnostic argument, that if there is a God, you wouldn't know because we're like a 2-d world and he's the 3rd dimension.

college rule is a lined paper size, in case you had no idea. but you probably did. anyway- it took me a while to pull that together. wonderful song, though.

I didn't really listen to this band much outside of Spaceships and Pop Music, then this song came up on shuffle the other day and I fell in love.
