Rich People Say Fuck Yeah Hey Hey Lyrics
Yes where all the buildings work and buildings stand around and where the
framework sits still bolted slightly holding to the ground and when I'm in and
out of work oh baby I'm in and out of town in and out of jobs so much my feet
don't touch the ground.
3 pictures of color between you and the sun in the longest distance a rider
approach he sat and he spoke of the night clubs and homes and of shock and
surprise that they left you through the gate.
Can't be the city cause the city never gets caught sleeping be the city cause
the city never stays can't be the city cause the city never gets caught sleeping
let the water cool your water bitch you break take the burning tongue and
eardrums down to the lake
I don't want to be a light you wear around your wrist.
framework sits still bolted slightly holding to the ground and when I'm in and
out of work oh baby I'm in and out of town in and out of jobs so much my feet
don't touch the ground.
approach he sat and he spoke of the night clubs and homes and of shock and
surprise that they left you through the gate.
the city never stays can't be the city cause the city never gets caught sleeping
let the water cool your water bitch you break take the burning tongue and
eardrums down to the lake

Dude, you didn't even check to see if those are the correct lyrics. You just copy and pasted the ones on plyrics.com.
For shame.
Some portions of the lyrics aren't correct but I've seen it on other lyrics sites. Either way, I believe the song is about the human beings who work and are stuck working. Some work so damn much that its running their lives.
The 3 pictures of color still somewhat throws me off. Though it could be comparable to the three stages of life, even dawn, day, and dusk.
3 pictures of color... Blue sky, white clouds, brown earth? They could all be dead... "my feet don't touch the ground" They all played their part in the system... the narrator and the person he is speaking to were working class, the rider was the rich guy. "he sat and he spoke of... shock and surprise that they let you through the gate." Rich people say fuck yeah to exploiting those beneath them to get to the top(heaven)?
I can't figure out the rest, maybe i'm talking out of my ass but it made a little sense... "I don't want to be a light you wear around your wrist:" I don't want to be another notch in your belt on your way to the top.
I'm prettty sure these are the cirrect lyrics: Three pixels of color between you and the sun, in the longest distance a rider approached, and he sat and he spoke of the night clubs and homes, Yes where all the buildings work and buildings stand around and where the framework sits still bolted slightly holding to the ground and when I'm in and out of work oh baby I'm in and out of town in and out of jobs so much my feet don't touch the ground. Can't be the city cause the city never gets caught sleeping be the city cause the city never stays can't be the city cause the city never gets caught sleeping let the water cool your water bitch you break take the burning tongue and eardrums down to the lake, i wanna be a light you wear around your wrist, you wear around your wrist, you wear around it, i wanna be the light around your wrist
so i think thoes are right, anyway i think this song is about a working guy that got a taste of what the good life could be, but he knows he can never be part of it
and of shock and surpirse as they let you through the gate,

I copied and pasted them directly from the band's message board, where the band posted the lyrics. So... maybe you should fuck off?

Yeah, it sounds a lot like "pixels" instead of "pictures" to me.
I think this song is at least partly about the Christian proverb about it being easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. There is a lot of religious imagery.
"Where all the buildings work" would be a really cool, weird way to describe heaven.
"the gate" would be the pearly gates of heaven, obviously.
"water...lake..." made me think of baptism.
"burning tongues." could be a reference to the idea of speaking in tongues.
"I don't want to be a light you wear around your wrist" made me think of jesus jewelry.
Just a thought. Either way, this song is fucking great just like everything else BVS did.
