Song About Old Roller Coaster Lyrics

It'll burn a hole right through this town. All the animals will feel this in
their cages it'll mix with minerals and backbones to go home and reflect how
they tore this building down you ask for more.

It'll last past a century of soil Icarus will see it on his way up past the
arrow
I understand now it is a color these are the people I group together pre-curse
the letters and the postcards that you sent my eyes are open sliding your tongue
across the paper produces effects that resemble weather tat resemble weapons and
the postcards that you sent my eyes are open.

Dig a trench with megaphones and pirates everything will change when you pull
this boat ashore.

I think it is a way to show that we're destroying the world that we live in and taking advantage of it. From "reflect how they tore this building down you ask for more"is how whatever we're doing has been damaging our surroundings and our never-ending search to find something better than it after we've ravaged it.

An interesting mention is the story of Icraus who was told not to fly too close to the sun or the wax on his wings will melt or two low as the moisture will make his wings too heavy too fly. Icraus flew too close to the sun for the feeling of being in heaven was drawing him towards it and plunged to death as his feathers flew off.

It seems as we're trying to find a way our heaven in the wrong way and as a consequence, (like the last commenter said), the old roller coaster is falling apart.

somethings being torn down, destroyed.... I think hes using quotes to evoke a feeling of a nuclear weapon... mix with minerals and backbones, a century of (tainted) soil, Icarus will see it on high......

human beings have been destroying the earth ("this building"), through harmful innovation after innovation-"from wheels to motors." the nuclear weapon is the final step in our inevitable self-destruction. earth-the "old roller coaster"-is falling apart. better hide kids-"dig a trench"-the thrills are pretty much over.

This is a tremendous song but there are lyrics missing

It'll burn a hole right through this town. All the animals will feel it in their cages It'll mix with minerals minerals and backbones to go home and reflect how They tore this building down You ask for more.

In the last past a century of soil Icarus will see it on his way up past the arrow

And I Said I understand now it is a color These are the people that I group together That pre-curse the letters And the postcard that you sent My eyes are open Sliding your tongue Across the paper Produces effects that resemble weather That produces weapons And the postcards that you sent my eyes are open. I understand now it is a color These are the people that I group together That pre-curse the letters
And the postcard that you sent My eyes are open Dig a trench with megaphones megaphones and pirates Everything is changed when you pull this boat ashore. I need more from you

Some are snakes Some are poison

When you've given up flying When I've given thanks

i'm pretty sure paffi says "some are snakes, some are poisonOUS". you can definitely hear the sssss sound at the end of poison pretty easily.

i don't see how it's about an old roller coaster... maybe one that an accident happened on? perhaps he's on the roller coaster as he's writing it. or he's dying perhaps. or maybe it's just about an epiphone-type moment.
