This song is all about the singer finding a girl that brightens his depressing life. Ten thousand miles from you refers to the distance between their two realities; my sky is black when yours is blue, (Im sad you happy). I deduced this by realizing that the first verse only makes sense when you interpret it figuratively. Your cheating on the weather with me is his way of saying that she is being with him and making him happy when he is down. My interpretation is hammered home with the line I love you like a fever gone cold which obviously means that he is in love with her and how she takes the bad mood away which in this line is the fever. She has made his fever (sick feeling) go cold. Great song.
