29 X The Pain Lyrics

Here, sitting in my room
With The Replacements and Husker Du
Like a rebel without a clue
And The Beatles and The Stones
Get to hang out with Ramones
And The Pistols shunning fame
As they sing the old refrain
As they always will again
Like 29 x the pain

I see Starz
And the moon is big and black
There's a full Sheer Heart Attack
but the Cheapest Trick of all
Is when I hear that London Call
I need something and I need it fast
I need Jason scorching past
I need to feel they feel the same
Coz when they almost know my name
It's like 29 x the pain

x the pain
29 x the pain
x the pain
29 x the pain
x the pain
x the pain
but it all adds up the same

(thanks pink/Frankie)

Kiss my Heart
Like The Damned did from the start
C'mon make me feel like me
S.L.F or B.O.C
Gimme old
Gimme new
Let me know you feel it too
Coz for all you boys and girls
It's a brave new world

I'm up
How can I get down
When I got all my friends around
and I can be there once again
I'm gonna miss Kurt Cobain

Like 29 x the pain
x the pain
29 x the pain
x the pain
29 the pain
x the pain
x the pain
x the pain
x the pain
It makes it all worthwhile again

I remember reading somewhere that the 'pink' referred to a female singer who was a friend of the band. I hope it wasn't her...

Is Frankie mr Frankie Warsaw Stubbs ? Ginger has often voiced his admiration for Leatherface, and they have the North East connection as well . . .

They alter that last line all the time live. I've seen it replaced with Joe Strummer, Dimebag Darryl, the aforementioned Richie James and others I can't remember anymore.

the title is an homage to the Husker Du song '59 x the pain'

well Pink is me and Frankie is me too. Ginger and I shared a house many years ago with several other rock n roll reprobates. Ginger sings a line from one of my songs "it all ends up the same" and Gingers nickname for me was pink....hope that explains it :)
