its pretty straight forward, its about how no matter how many times we seem to screw Jesus over, he still takes us back cuz he loves us. for petes sake he died for us, getting spit upon is easy to look past with love like that. theres not that much more to it, its simply about how Chris always accepts us and would do anything for us
i absolutely agree with a7x. Haste the Day is obviously a religious band, just read the lyrics. its probably even more evident in this song than most of the others. They basically say 'Jesus loves us no matter what we do, no matter how badly we sin' without ever mentioning His name.

this song definetely relates to Holy Week and Good Friday. the people spit in Jesus' face and He bled for all of mankind. He was sacrificed for all of us and this song shows that even though we hurt Him, He will always love us.
