Before The Hangman's Noose Lyrics

It's a good day to fuckin' die
A good day....A fuckin good day

Truth be told the water looks cold
And the trees fly by as we drive
The sun goes down
Sometimes i wanna stay
Sometimes i wanna leave
Sometimes i gotta ride
Riding this rail I know what i'm on
But not now what i'm in for
This train to somewhere seems to never end
As far as i can tell.....Hell

Before all hell breaks loose
Before the hangman's noose
And as the sun goes down
I'll say
It's a good day to die, a good day to die

Before the hangman's noose
I'll say
It's a good day to die a good day to die

No more stops, time to punch your ticket
This time this ride is one way
I can see a shadow of a man
And man it's coming my way
Riding this rail, I know what i'm on
But not now what i'm in for
This train to nowhere seems to never end
As far as i can tell......Hell

Before all hell breaks loose
Before the hangman's noose
And as the sun goes down
I'll say
It's a good day to die, a good day to die

Before the hangman's noose
I'll say
It's a good day to die a good day to die

This day it will be mine
Shit

Before all hell breaks loose
I'll say
Before the hangmans noose
I'll say
It's a good day to die, a good day to die

Before all hell breaks loose
I'll say
This day will be mine........
Before all hell breaks loose
It's a good day to die.

No, Its about the inevitable. Its submitting oneself toe what we cannot control. We'll all die, There won't be anything special about your death, my death, or anyone elses death. We all end up rotting and 6 feet under.

The biggest difference here, is not the manner in which one dies. Not for what we've died, but that dammit, if we're going to die, and we are, lets might as well make today, a good fucking day to die.

Its compliant defiance. Its time to cash our chips in, time to punch our ticket. from the day we were born, we boarded the train. No one goes back, its a one way train.

OH yea, let me remind you, that today, is a good fucking day to die.

It's about being above the things and keeping your honour even in extreme situations, to behave like a winner even when you lose.

its most certainly about the inevitable steps towards death that we all make without a choice. But I also think its a song of defiance, to look your hangman in the face and smile. If your going down for doing something your way and not someone elses then do it with pride. Think about it, why are you facing the gallows? obviously for doing something out of sync with the norm... so if you do it and get called up or caught for it, face the noose count to three and take the fall without pussying out.

if you did something defiant, be proud of it. if your to blame for something, then take the blame. if you have to face the inevitable, dont try and delay it. everyone has to face death eventually, so dont have regrets when you do.
